Broward County Hospital

A typical hospital, also the home of BCFD Medic rigs. 13 floors they are as follows

1- Registration +BCFD and Hospital break room
2- BCFD Ambulances
3- Emergency+ Relative break room
4- Surgery
5- Heart Surgery+ Heart Ward
6- Bone Ward
7- Patient Rooms
8- Patient Rooms
9- Patient rooms
10-Radiology
11-Hospital Storage
12-Hospital Storage
13-BCFD Storage

*I park my car in the parking lot and walk in the hospital and walk up to the front desk*

'Hi, could you tell me where Nick Brondum is, please?'
'Sure hold on... He's on the 7th floor room 721'
'Okay thanks!'

*I walk over to the elevator and go up to 7 I get out and walk over to the nurses desk*

'Hi Officer, do you need help?'
'Hi, I am just checking on the status of Officer Nick Brondum'
'Yes you must be the one who saved him'
'Just doing my job, one of my deputies get injured, I do what I can to protect them'
'Well you just saved him a few more minutes he could've died but now he has a nasty gash that required stitches but other than that he seems fine he should be able to work within a couple of weeks or maybe quicker'
'Oh thats good news, is he awake now?'
'Yea you can go see him'

*I walk over to room 721 and knock and walk in*

'Hey deputy, how you feeling?'

*I look over at Booth.*
'I feel like shit. Thanks back there.'

*I walk towards him and sit on the chair next to his bed*

'No problem you're my deputy, and my partner its my job, we're all family'

'Dude, that was intense. We need more specialized people or something. I was thinking of a SWAT team.'

'Funny you mention that, I got a phone call from the sheriff who announced he just created a team and wanted me to be the commanding officer, and I get to pick the people on my team'

'Cool. I don't need to say anything do I?'
*I try to laugh but my head explodes with pain. I wince and do my best not to scream*

'No but when you go back to work you need to take a cab or get a ride because you're gonna get a take home ford expedition you're gonna get a new uniform with stripes (Sergeant) and get new gear'

'10-4. Can you call my wife? She will be pissed but so be it.'

'you want me to talk to her or do you just want me to call her and let you talk to her?'

'You call her but don't make it sound official.'

'Alright I'll try, whats her name and number?'

'Jessie. Just tell them to page her, she works as a paramedic.'

'Okay I'll call dispatch'

*I get my phone out and call Broward sheriffs dispatch*

'BCSO Dispatch'
'Hey this Sgt. Shawn Booth with the SWAT Team'
'Hey Sarge what do you need?'
'I need you to page one Jessie Brondum she is a paramedic have her call my cell phone, its urgent'
'Yes sir, right away'

*I hear Booth's cell phone ring.*
'Good luck if you get any trouble, give it to me.'

'I think I can deal with your wife over the phone' *I start laughing then answer the phone*

'Sergeant Booth BCSO'
'Hi dispatch paged me and told me to call you'
'You must be jessie brondum correct?'
'Yes sir, what happened?'
'Your husband is in the hospital in stable condition'
'WHAT? What happened?'
'We responded to a 911 call on an arguement and the male party hit nick over the head with a brick'
'What is he okay?'
'He is now, he is awake and conscience, at broward county hospital'
'I'm on my way'
*I hear sirens on her end of the phone call* 'He is in room 721'
'Okay thanks' *I hear crying in the background*

*I turn to nick*

'Your wife is on her way, she didn't flip out on me so thats a good sign right?'

'Um that depends. I think we have to wait and see, but generally it does not matter, she will sill try to kill you.'
*I hear someone running down the hall. I take a deep breath.*
'Here goes nothing.'

'Yeah she better not hit me with a brick'

*Nicks wife comes barging through the door*

Me:' Hey Hon......'
Wife: 'WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!'
Me: 'Um got hit by a brick in the head.'
Wife: 'Thats it! i want you off of the police department now!'
Me: 'Hon you said that when I worked with the fire department in Cumberland Ridge, but you kept your job.'
Wife: 'I don't care, I want you off o the department.'
Me: 'Ok look I am too tired argue. I have a deal, I got promoted to Sergeant.'
Wife: 'FINE! Deal But i want you of for the next 3 weeks.'
Me: 'Booth?'

'Take it, the nurse said you'll need time to recover anyways 2-4 weeks take it'

Me: 'Ok deal?'
Wife: ' Deal. I.......
"Medic 7 respond to 3392 West Linn for a Heart attack."
Wife: ' Have to run get well soon.'
Me: 'Thanks'
*She runs out and takes the call.*
'She hit you with a brick?'

'haha' *I laugh* 'Luckily not but I have to go, I need to set up the swat stuff for your return'

*I get up and walk out and walk to my car and drive to the station*

"303 to ops show me en route to the station"

---4 Weeks Later---
*I call Booth *
'Can you pick me up Sergeant? I am out of this hell hole'

*I answer my phone*

'Its actually Lieutenant now, and I will have an officer pick you up'
